To Assist Persons with spinal cord Injuries and other disabilities to achieve independance, self reliance and full community participation. Learn more about us.
Spinal Cord Injury Newfoundland and Labrador received a very kind and generous donation of $600 this past Friday from The Colour Palette located at 673 Topsail Rd. St. John’s NL.
The donation will be used to support our Peer Grub Club program. The program is a monthly event at the Leonard A. Miler Centre where patients of the centre, their families and individuals living in the community come together to share a meal and share stories about life after a spinal cord injury.
Kayla Nugent, owner of The Colour Palette has a personal attachment to Spinal Cord Injury Newfoundland and Labrador and the Peer Grub Club after her husband suffered a Spinal Cord Injury in August of 2018. Throughout his time at the Miller Centre they both attended the Peer Grub Club and were happy to be able to donate back to the event to make sure that other individuals going through what they did have this great opportunity to share and learn from people who have been there in a fun environment.
